A Dentist for the Entire Family
|
Dr. David graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine (SIU-SDM) in Alton in June of 1998. David joined his father at the dental practice in Edwardsville. Ken has been practicing in Edwardsville since 1968.
Dr. Ken retired from the office in July of 2008. He practiced in Edwardsville for 40 years (plus 2 in the US Army!).
My family keeps growing up. Will is now almost 9 years old. He is in Level II at the Lahr-Well Acedemy. The twins, Ben and Thomas, are in first grade at Glen Carbon Elementary. Baby Emerson Claire is keeping mommy busy at home everyday.
Julie and I love to take the kids on vacation. This year we took the whole family to Florida in the Spring and Summer. Take at look at the gorgeous picture on the beach. Over July fourth, we went to Colorado. That was fun.

| DR. DAVID RUNS CHICAGO MARATHON!
I ran the Marathon! I can't believe it. It took 5 hours and 29 minutes, but I finished. I prepared by taking 70 training runs totalling 350 miles. It took 6 months of training. My amazing wife brought the kids up and suprised me at the 26 mile marker! I was cold, tired, hungry and lonely. That was a real booster. I am very greatful that I could share that with my family.

Dr. David is now a runner. I ran the Michelob Light St. Louis St. Patrick's Day 2007 5 Mile run. I finsished in under 50 minutes (my goal). I ran the whole way and had a lot of fun. If it looks cold in the picture, you are right. It was 38 degrees and there were snow flurries!
I hope to complete a 10K someday.
The running has led to an invitation to play indoor soccer. I have scored 3 goals so far. Check out our soccer team, Byron-Gerber Trojan FC at BGPK.

Dr. David and Chris Byron at the Rose Bowl |
|
|
The amazing football season of the University of Illinois Fighting Illini ended in Pasadena, California. I was lucky enough to attend the 2008 ROSE BOWL with my friends, Eric Cremer and Chris Byron. We had a great time. USC won, but Illinois fans got quite a surprise finish to the season. Big Ten MVP, Reshad Mendenhall, put a charge in the crowd with a long touchdown run after halftime, but Illinois never threatened after that.

Dr. Ken and Dr. Dave with their GREAT dental team. |
|
| Some people say behind every great man there is a woman. Thankfully I have 5 GREAT women working infront of me. No one can get far on their own, so I am very proud of the group of gals that work for me.
Our team strives for superior service and technical excellence. We provide great effort to produce a safe and comfortable dental office. From answering the phone and filing insurance, we want people to have a good experience.

Dr. David and Dr. Ken |
|
| I had a great trip to Bandon, Oregon in September of 2006. Dad took his three boys to a fantastic golf club on the Pacific Ocean. The three courses were each fantastic. Two courses, Bandon Dunes and Pacific Dunes had many holes that played right on the ocean.
We played 10 rounds in the five days we were there. Steven had the only round under par.
Brother Steven had the best average for the trip, but Dr. David dominated the daily games. I think Dr. Ken had the highest average, but he had the most fun.
A truly 'once-in-a-lifetime' trip. It was a great thrill.

2008 Trip to Pebble Beach, California
|
In November, eight guys went to California for 4 nights. We played golf at Pebble Beach, Spyglass Hill and Spanish Bay. We even got to catch a football game at Stanford. That is a very pretty part of the world.
I have many other pictures from this trip on facebook.
